51 Tips for a Better Life: Can You Add to the List?

Park Howell wrote an interesting post this morning titled 40 Tips for a Better Life: Can You Add to the List?. Having had some experience with Life, as we all have, I thought I'd add my $0.02 worth and attempt to enlarge the list.

Here's another 11 Tips that gardeners could use and are certainly worthy of consideration;

41. Go plant something...anything! Then take pleasure in watching it grow
42. Start a compost heap and watch it decompose each day. It will help remind you that everything returns to its former starting point..."Ashes to ashes; Dust to dust"
43. Pick some flowers for your neighbours
44. Hug a tree
45. Eat more veggies...especially your greens
46. Put the power tools away and start swinging that mattock again
47. Create a memorial garden: For the day you decided to live a better life
48. Join a community garden
49. Start a blog, or at least spend time commenting on them
50. Invest in a hammock and subscribe to your favourite gardening magazine
51. Open your garden up to the public and enjoy their gratitude

Great list Stuart and I'm sure everyone can add loads of gardening related ones.

My best one is to get an allotment, so you not only eat more veggies, you grow them too. It's sorted out a lot of my health issues :)

Good additions to the list Stuart. I used to grow and pick sweetpeas for a neighbour, sadly she moved and my sweetpeas didn't get picked last year!

How about "plant flowering shrubs and perennials that are highly scented, and take time to stop and smell them each day."
