If you haven't joined
Twitter you obviously don't know what you're missing out on, apparently! According to all reports it's the next best in social media and EVERYBODY's doing it - well...that was until I realised that I wasn't part of the collective EVERYBODY.
So, yesterday afternoon I 'bit the bullet' and jumped on board. Answering the question "What are you doing?" was a harder proposition than I expected. It's like asking one of your children "What did you learn at school today?" And their response, "Nothing".
"Nothing? I pay good money for you to go to school and you learned Nothing?"
Sorry, parental rant concluded. Back to Twitter. Not only are you expected to answer this question but you only have 140 characters to do it with - including spaces. 140? Like I'm supposed to sum up my weekend as ..."Woke. Breakfast. Brushed teeth. Watched footy. Slept. Woke. Gardened. Phoned Mum. Watched Gladiators. Talked to wife. Slept. Love weekends."
It's an excruciating challenge. So, while I didn't update Twitter over weekend I thought I would make up for it with a blow-by-blow account. Get comfortable, you're in for an awesome show.

Fairly exciting stuff, wouldn't you agree? I'm not sure I can keep up with the pace but will probably link to at it Blotanical.com - seeing as that was what most of it was, anyhow.

Again, I DON"T GET IT. I'd be bored to tears by a recitation of my own activities and I sure don't want to read what anyone else is doing.
What's the appeal?
That's a serious inquiry. Really!

I tried Twitter too, not sure I can keep up with it on a daily basis, so haven't added it to my blog yet. I'll perservere a bit longer.

I guess I must be stunned, or something, because I don't get it either. I love reading other people's blogs, but I don't need to know if they've flossed or if their kits made it through the night dry or how many hairballs their iguanas spewed up. Guess I'm just out of touch, or something. Twitter seems like something for people with more time on their hands than some of us have.

I must admit I'm in agreement ladies. I feel like I should use this for some networking purposes but every time I go to answer the question i find myself asking the question "Why? Who really wants to know what I did?" I agree jodi, I think it's more for those who have far too much time on their hands and are probably bored with 'Desperate Housewives'.
