There is no doubt that water is an important element in the garden. Combine that with a little artistic structure, movement and an aesthetic background and you have some of the world's most amazing garden water fountains.
And, while you may not find Italy's
Trevy Fountain, Geneva's
Jet d'Eau or Spain's
Vejer de la Frontera in this list you may just find one that could have come from your neighbour's backyard. That is, of course, if they had a big enough backyard.

I'm diggin' your fountain collection.
Of what you have here, the ones I've seen, in person, are the Earth Mother fountain from Villa d'Este (the Pope's summer place) and the Muppet fountain at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
That's contrast for you.

These water features are all unique and interesting in their own way. There's something about water features that we all respond to, no matter our locations.

Hi Stuart .. Thanks for stopping by !
These fountains are amazing. I would love to have some mini versions in my garden : )
It is tough for us to have a carefree ? one with our winters .. plus the NO room feature that is happening more and more. BUT .. if I can manage it some day it will happen. There is nothing more soothing than the sound of water .. for now, the birds in our bird baths are doing their level best to make enough water "sounds" to help us out ! : )

Wow! Those are awesome! Thanks for sharing them. I wanted to share a fountain that I found and was actually able to purchase for my new pond I installed last spring. It is called the Toba Magic Fountain. It creates some cool effects in my backyard. Check it out at www.tobafountains.com.

I love them. Thanks for the photos. My favourite was the Avenue of a thousand fountains. I could so be walking along that avenue. I liked them all and marvelled at how inventive and creative public art can be. thanks Stuart.
