Well, this is a pleasant surprise indeed, Stuart. Digging must have a lot of lurkers because I sure don't get the number of comments that some other bloggers get. (Maybe my spam guard has been overzealous? I've turned it off to make it easier to comment, folks.)
I notice that almost half of the latest top ten are Austin blogs. As of this writing, four Austin blogs made the top ten during the last 24 hours, and another four made the top ten for the last 7 days. Go, Austin bloggers!

I don't get it. It seems to indicate that many popular blogs have only had 2 visitors in the last 24 hours, which we know isn't correct. What's up?

Susan - it shows that the blog has had 2 visitors from the Blog Directory in the past 24 hours. These are filtered by IP addresses so that even though you may have had multiple visitors they are usually coming from the same location.
In the next update (out shortly) bloggers will have ways to encourage others to come to their sites and therefore increase their rankings.
