WOW! That pergola is looking good. I love the construction on it--did you cut those grooves for the ring base out of the posts yourself? If so, how?
Everything else is looking great, too. We just got snow here, and it feels like it will be forever until we get to see roses again in person...

Yes. The grooves were cut with a small petrol chainsaw while I teetered atop a ladder. Fortunately, a friend was balancing it so it was stable enough but not the easiest job in the world.
