Gardening tips, gardening info and heaps of ideas to help gardeners of all experience get more out of their hobby and out of their gardens.

One style of garden that I really enjoy - in other gardener's backyards, that is - is a Japanese Rock Garden. Their intricate formality and simple design concepts are breathtakingly beautiful.
So if you are planning a Japanese garden (make sure to add me to your visitors list) here is a great collection of photos that will inspire you to continue designing.
Just make sure you purchase a high-quality rake...

Just found your blog and it is fantastic. The style of garden you mention is in fact called a "karesansui". Keep up the good work and I hope to see more posts on Japanese gardens.

Thanks Anne. I plan to write more about Japanese gardens because they really fascinate me.
Our city sister, Sugito, sent a delegation over to Busselton to create a mini-Japanese garden which I plan to show here in the near future.
