According to this Boing Boing post, Disney have teemed up with Imagination Farms to produce a retail range of fruit and vegetables with Disney branding emblazoned upon it.
The cynics amongst us will claim "an apple is just an apple" but try convincing a child that an apple without a picture of Mickey Mouse is even edible and you may have a mini-Waterloo on your hands. I can't help but wonder whether the increased packaging (a sticker) will demand a premium price for this fruit but time will tell.
One small step for social marketing...hopefully one giant leap for child obesity!
