I don't usually like to elevate a blog only a short time after reading it but Trey's "Golden Gecko Garden Blog" has caught my attention very early. The difference between Trey's blog and others I have credited before as my "Gardening Blog of the Week" is that Trey operates from the other side of the fence - he runs a nursery.

Trey's posts have included much discussion about topical issues that garden bloggers blog about as well as insights into his own nursery world. I'm keen to continue reading Trey's blog to see how things develop and how he explains life at a nursery. It's like a little child wanting to visit the chocolate factory and see how it all works.

I have been a garden center professional for over 25 years. My first nursery job was driving the delivery truck at 'Christensen Nursery' in Belmont, just south of San Francisco . Our last garden center venture was 'The Happy Frog', in Auburn. We now have 'The Golden Gecko Garden Center', in Garden Valley. Our customers garden from the lower foothills to Lake Tahoe.
