Gardening tips, gardening info and heaps of ideas to help gardeners of all experience get more out of their hobby and out of their gardens.
A couple of days ago I wrote a post about garden gnomes and my lack of interest in them - but who am I to make such a generalised statement. So I thought I would hand the control over to you - the reader to hear your views. On the right-hand side of this blog I've added a weekly poll that will hopefully gauge your views and give you a chance to say how it is.
It's now your turn to tell me what you think of these affable little creatures.

the yes's are winning 42% to 33%.A lead of 9%. Who would thought they could cause controversy?

Mmmmh...fortunately I'm not a dishonest guy or I would certainly rig this outcome to push my own agenda in stamping out these fiendish landscaping blemishes.
C'mon people please see reason. If the world gets hold of this poll Chelsea may have to adjust its application policies. Don't let this happen - please (on knees begging now).

They were 38% to 38%...all tied up when I voted just now. Who would've thought?

Stuart, I was stunned into silence by your vitriolic attack on these defenceless little garden denizens, left speechless I was! Especially as so many of them have left us in the eastern states and migrated to your lovely side of the country http://www.southwestlife.com.au/outdoors0804.htm
I just hope they know what they are in for over there!!

Yes. Simone from EnjoyPerth had already pointed this out to me.
The rationale for this migration is obviously gardeners (who aren't voting I might add) are removing them from their gardens, as I suspected, and dumping them on the side of the road.
Apparently, Western Australia doesn't have the same Gnome Dumping laws as other states but I am now campaining my local member for higher punishments.
Leaving Gnomes in a colony such as Gnomesville is asking for trouble and I'm sure we'll see a pandemic of gnomes greater than we even imagined the avian flu to become.
