Gardening tips, gardening info and heaps of ideas to help gardeners of all experience get more out of their hobby and out of their gardens.

The small resort town of St Andrew's is now the home to the only Wollemi Pine in Canada. "Pericles" as it has been named (son of parent plant "Hercules") was bought at the original Sotheby's auction for CAN$1500. It stands at only 2 metre's tall, a mere baby when considered against the normal height of 40m+.
This Wollemi pine is being kept in Kingsbrae Garden which is open to the public and is on show during the summer season which opened May 19. "Pericles" will be wintered in a greenhouse.

Good day - it is encouraging, and very welcome, to see news of "Pericles", Kingsbrae Garden's wollemi pine, on your site. I would ask, please, that you attribute the photograph to Jaime Plaza at wollemipine.com.
Our little historic tree is doing well, after its epic journey halfway around the world. The 27-acre Garden is open daily, 9 to 6, for anyone who would like to see it -- and St Andrews by-the-Sea is a wonderful place to visit, in any case!
many thanks,
Maureen
